Hi and thank you for a really interesting forum, I am visiting Baza at the beginning of April, my main interest is bats and I hope to record some of the species in the area, I need to record schreiber's and mediterranean horse-shoe's for my data base, LOL probably not hear either! Any sightings of free-tailed bats in this area? I also have a general interest in all wildlife particularly birds of prey, (yes I know they eat bats).  It is many years since I last visited the area and I have always wanted to return, so this is it, packing binoculars, bat detectors, cameras, torches and lots of spare batteries!
Cheers

Hi Roger, welcome to the forum! The Sierra de Baza project could be a good place to start.

Yes an excellent site as is http://www.secemu.com/cod/index_.html although translating is a problem, my computer does not like these pages where the Baza site http://www.sierradebaza.org/Fichas_fauna/introduccion_murcielagos.htm works fine.
Thank you.
