Title: Rat or Vole??
Post by: JSW099 on June 09, 2018, 01:49 AM
Hi All,

I found this animal running alongside the bank of the Rio Genil, this is the only photo I managed to get before it disappeared into the shrubs.
Is it the Brown Rat(Rattus novegicus) or the Southern Water Vole (Arvicola sapidus)?
Regards

Syd

Hi Clive,

Thank you so much, I was really looking for confirmation, as I have many slip-ups with subjects.
