Kestrels in Barcelona

In today's El Periodico there's a fabulous picture of a kestrel nest.  Some lucky people living in the district of Horta have 6 young kestrels on their window sill!




Sergi GarcĂ­a comments that it's unusual for six chicks to prosper.  The article also mentions that people have started using kestrel-proof cages for their canaries.  But the kestrels are clearly still getting a plentiful supply of food.
