We are pleased to announce that a new “where to watch” style guide has just been published. Entitled A Birding Tourist’s Guide to Majorca, it is written by local birders with an in depth knowledge of the best sites for birds in Mallorca, including a number overlooked by the average visitor from abroad. At 128 pages, with full colour throughout, the guide includes excellent GPS referenced maps for 17 sites covering Mallorca’s wide range of habitats, provides detailed information for more than 240 species including all the specialities, has superb photos of more than 80 species and, just as important, gives addition information vital for the tourist, including some “does and don’ts” and a recognised code of behaviour to make the visit a success. Mallorca has been lacking an up-to-date guide for some time and this publication, in English, makes it accessible to holiday-makers from across Europe and beyond. Not only that, but a Catalan version has also been produced, which will further encourage the growing birding fraternity within the Balearic Islands.

Currently the guide is only availably via the internet. For further information, and the option to purchase the guide via the secure and guaranteed system of PayPal, visit www.birdingmajorca.com.
