snake id ? young viperine?

Found this snake on pathway beside the river at Benojan.
I think it might be a young viperine snake judging by high set eyes but I would be grateful for some expert opinion.

Hi Harry, yes looks like a viperine snake but they don't grow all that large (normally under 80 cms)... What was the size of this one? (maybe for future images like this you could put a coin or something in the shot to gauge the size)

Yes it was very small. Maybe 9 inches.
I did have another pic of it beside my flyreel but to get best image I had cropped it out!
