It could be Vicia onobrychioides.

Hmm, I'm not sure!   Huh The stem of Vicia onobrychioides seems to be more erect. The colors of "my" speciemen were quite pure, both blue and white. Perhaps it is a very variable species???

Unfortunately, many of the "Googled" photos do not show the leaves.  noidea

Astragalus vesicarius is more the style, but does not fit exactly either.

It's not an astragalus, for sure.

Hi Petrea.

I am no expert but I have a photo of a very similar looking plant (but leaves slightly blunter) taken in the Sierra Nevada and I have also called it Vicia onobrychioides, False Sainfoin but I could be very wrong. The colours of the plants I saw varied from almost white but not pure, to deep blue. I also photographed it back in May.

OK Andres and Mick. I'll buy the Vicia onobrychioides. Thanks to both.
