This summer I rescued some tadpoles from drying out puddles.

Some of them developed relatively rapidly. They left the water on June 23 (foto). This little fellow is 9 mm long (squares: 1½ mm). I guess he is a Rana Comun?

Others grew quite large, ca 4-5 cm long. I have not (yet) been able to get a photo. I suspect that they may have escaped by now. Last time I saw one is now more than a week ago. It had developed legs, but was still using the tail to swim with. Common toad?
