Ok, so I am just a bit confused here....
The site that seems to be in charge of the birds in Cazorla are based in the North and haven't updated their tracking area of the website for ages... This would be the Zaragoza based people known as the FCQ....http://www.quebrantahuesos.org:9080/htm/en/quebra/control?zone=pub&sec=quebra&pag=verListado&est=OK_&tp=1&loc=en
Yet the site that claims to be in charge of the reintroduction programme in Andalucia has even less information about the developments and general information. No tracking information and no details about releases.www.gypaetus.org
Can someone help me out here?... Exactly who is it releasing the birds in Andalucia... How many are there released to date and what are their status. (I have heard rumours that 18 birds have been released so far in Andalucia)
Looking at the tracking area of quebrantehuesos.org I see 55 birds released with tracking devices. I know that one is now dead as "Segura" has been shot and killed but how many other birds on this list are missing or dead?
Where can I actually get valid data from, when I know that the two webs sites involved are not actively updating their information for the general public.
Remember it is the general public that is paying for all this in taxes and direct donations...
PS What has happened to the chick being hand reared by the special new technique in Ordesa area mentioned by Lisa in a previous post?
