dear All
Interesting sighting today as walked near the Corte Ingles in Leon, scampering across the pavement was a Chipmunk, i did a sort of double take but it hung around for a while so identification was easy, I know the Siberian Chipmunk is found in Central Europe, but I would guess this was an escapee, certainly different, it seemed quite happy, and unfazed by all the people around.

Greetings Dave,
Double take! I still wouldn't have believed me eyes! Is there a park nearby (assuming that's their habitat) or could it have escaped just a few minuted before from a petshop or summat? Talking 'bout petshops, walked past our local one and they had two minks in a glass aquarium going crazy - literally up the walls. 'Spose it's legal? But ...
What with Nick's parrots in Barcelona, Clive's Mexican lizards in Almeria and can't remember who's vultures in Belgium, and an infinite number of other examples, it's getting so that no-one will be surprised at seeing ostrich-drawn carts in the streets of Barcelona!

O tempora! O mores! (En. anyone?) regs.

I've been away for too long. What were Clive's Mexican lizards in Almeria?
