Apparently this creature thinks it´s an ant, at least it tried to squize into the cracks in my terrace floor, where the ants usually live. He is ca 2 cm long.

You can just exactly spot the 2 yellow stripes on his left side.


What is he?

Hi Petrea,
my first guess would be Scolia hirta with those two yellow stripes and the purple tinge to the wings........open to other ideas though!
Thinking of visiting the beautiful Sierra de Grazalema in Andalucia?
