Hi everyone,
I'm very excited that at the end of September (26th, 27th and 28th) there is to be a Birding Festival held on the Ebro Delta! :dancing:
It's taken a while but over the last few years birding as a tourist attraction has finally got onto the radar of the Tourism Authorities here in the "Terres de l'Ebre". A new centre was opened a few years ago by Fundació Catalunya La Pedrera and the Festival will take place at and around this facility called "Mon Natura".
There will be some guided bird tours including a pelagic trip and even more exciting (for me!) another tour into a highly protected area of the Delta that is not normally open to the public.
More information for anyone living near to or visiting Southern Catalonia can be found here: http://www.deltabirdingfestival.com/presentation-and-location/?lang=en
