It's linked to Amazon.

If you buy a book we get 5% which will help to paying for the costs of running this!

Hi All...

Clive, Nick and Sue have been very busy loading up the bookshop with a huge array of books covering virtually every aspect of the nature, geography and history of Iberia...

We have two duplicate book shops, one for people in the US and one for people in the Uk and Europe.

For ordering books to be posted from the UK
http://www.iberianatureforum.com/shop/booksUK.htm

For ordering books to be posted from the US
http://www.iberianatureforum.com/shop/booksUS.htm

Have fun....

Clive

Hi SueMac,
Thank great thanks

There is a "copy" in Contemporary Spain -

I think - Clive correct me if my wrong - you can get any book through the bookshop if you use the seach box.

If this is the case I shall be goading all my friends and family who don't give a squat about wolves or spain, to buy on occasions through the bookshop

PS
(I like the idea of having copies of books - "sorry we haven't got that in the moment, we've just run out," like a real bookshop)

Hi Clive and Nick
That was an interesting experience and didnt finish up as I had expected.  I started with UK Amazon site and found out that Pierre Brouhe book wouldnt ship to July 2008 so came back and tried my preferred method Amazon USA to find it could be shipped by February 8th so as I will be in Va three weeks later for my uncle's funeral I have booked that way.  As I shipped cheaply to my brother's address costs work out the same. I will go back and order other two in UK. I had wondered about the possiblity of ordering through the INF for other books and thought "Nah" so can you confirm whether I can ............

SueMac, we have a US shop as well as A UK shop Did you use our US shop?... Interesting about the difference in the shipping times.

Lisa, Yes we will be adding other stuff as well as books but right now you can get anything from the US shop or the UK shop by using the search pane on the right hand side... We still get a small commission from anything that doesn't actually exist in our shop pages....The search box has a drop down at the top so you can select the product type to search for.....

main page is at
http://www.iberianatureforum.com/shop/index.htm

Uk page is at
http://www.iberianatureforum.com/shop/booksUK.htm

US page is at
http://www.iberianatureforum.com/shop/booksUS.htm

You can switch between the US and Uk shops by the link at the top of the page

Happy shopping.....

Greetings All,
Though I do, in principle, agree with Lisa's field equipment gag, to which one would also have to add other essentials ranging from mugs and T-shirts to shotguns, quads* and 4x4s, Technopat would like to point out that we are, for the moment, talking 'bout the iberianatureforum Bookshop. Although the term could, I imagine, be extended to include maps, as they do, like the contents of a book, also unfold when you open them up. Mind you, that would also apply to sleeping bags (and tents?). Let's just stick to books for the time being, huh? ::)

* One of Mrs Tp's cousins has just opened up a brand new quad dealership in Toledo - it needed but this for me to look forward even more to these family reunions they all like so much ... :banghead:

Regs.,
Technopat

PS.
Needless to say, I didn't go to the opening cocktail - don't think I was missed  :dancing: .
Technopat's disclaimer: If this posting seems over the top and/or gets your goat (Sp. anyone?), please accept my apologies and don't take it personally - it's just my instinctive tendency to put my foot in it whenever/wherever possible. See also:

Sorry Tp.... progress.. We need to sell some stuff to pay for this amazing cyber world we are inhabiting...

However... You will never see any type of popups or ads on the forum or Wildside holidays.. Ever...

The landing page is clearly titled "The Iberianature Forum & Wildside Holidays book and accessories shop"
http://www.iberianatureforum.com/shop/index.htm

From this page we will link to other "shops" that will hold selected "Accessories" including iberianature forum mugs, hats and t shirts.......... binoculars and other stuff.... maybe... :)

Seriously, Nick has been looking at a shop solely for Spanish language books and we hope to add links to those in the near future.

Hi Clive
I have always used the US Amazon site and occasionally  the UK Amazon site.  It was interesting to see the  different release dates but that often happens.  What I wanted to know as a mini collector/and occasional dealer of books whether INF got the commission if I ordered books not necessarily stocked by INF?
SueMac
ps
My bank tracked me down last night to check if it was me buying clothes in USA when I could have bought them in UK.......yes I said.

Hi Suemac, thanks for the update,

Yes, we get the commission as well if you order a book through the search panel at the right. Clicking on something from the search panel will take you to the main Amazon site but the fact you clicked from our pages is recorded. It is only that item that is tracked though.

:)

I've just bought two bird books and two fiction books. I must say the bookshop is easy to use and quick to place an order. The books arrived safe, well and undamaged. The bird books are EXCELLENT!!! Thanks.
