    • Accommodation and Activities in the Picos de Europa

As of 06.30 this morning 1st of Feb. about a year after starting the petition, it has accumulated 2,505 signatures  :dancing: Past the half-way mark!
Now I knew I was  :roxysnail: but didn't realise how  :roxysnail: 'til I searched on this board for the petition's topic and found there wasn't one  ::)
So, time to pull my finger out again. I've been spreading it around the Care2 network and have joined Facebook - not something I'd normally do but just for the cause, honest! (I'm probably the only one with a non-digital photo  8)) Now all I have to do is join a group or two such as "The I Like to Nap Group" "Help Save a Species Group" and I'll have 5,000 by next week  >:D
Whoops, nearly forgot Save Spanish Bears!

Hey Lisa,

I see you are getting loads of signatures from the US. Is there a statistics part to the care2 system where you can find out the geographic location of signers?

I mentioned the petition in my last Wildside Holidays newsletter so hope to have helped a bit....

what's the plan to push this thing to the 3000 mark?

Thanks SueMac, I've had a search for the article but can't find it. Presume that's Aguirre??
And thanks Clive for the mention again. I don't think there's a statistics function on the site but I suppose there are a lot of U.S. citizens and the site is American hence a lot of sig's from there. It's interesting watching it do the rounds of the world though. Been doing lots of work on the 2 sites I mentioned before, will let you all know when I've got something else up.

Hi Steve,

It would be great if you could bring this petition to the notice of anyone else you could think of. Other forums or friends...

It is this part of our community communication that I really admire.

We'll ask Peter SEO Ronda to do it when he comes back from gallivanting in Costa Rica or wherever he is pretending to work nowadays.... He is doing his bit because there is a link to our forum in his signature.... :)

I've just put a thread on Bird forum which hopefully will get some positive response. Negative responses will probably be a grumble or two that it's in the wrong place. There's always someone who grumbles!

After mysteriously doing the rounds of the low countries, among others, Save Spanish Bears! has passed the 3,000 barrier  :)

Although the High Court has vetoed the Tres Provincias project, the petition is staying put because I don't trust those alcades one bit  >:(
