Very timely it is too, if the following is true:

Greetings Lucy,
Thanks (?) for that - pop in 'ere for respite and the first posting addressed to me knocks me faith in human nature askew - and from such an unlikely quarter, too.  :technodevil:

Sorry about that TP.  More cheering stuff from the Guardian - I enjoyed reading David Attenborough's succinct answers to the Creationists who send him hate mail, because he never credits God in his documentaries  :o :

Quote
"They always mean beautiful things like hummingbirds. I always reply by saying that I think of a little child in east Africa with a worm burrowing through his eyeball. The worm cannot live in any other way, except by burrowing through eyeballs. I find that hard to reconcile with the notion of a divine and benevolent creator."

“It's like saying that two and two equals four, but if you wish to believe it, it could also be five.  Evolution is not a theory; it is a fact, every bit as much as the historical fact that William the Conqueror landed in 1066. "

It says alot that articles about Darwin nowadays are more likely to appear in religious affairs than the science section.

You can see DA being interviewed about Darwin here:

Sorry, I was too caught up with DA socking it to the Creationists to think of the bleak aspect of that.
