One limitation I have discovered is that if you only have the free version you can't make more than three minutes' worth of audio comments.
You can, of course, remove previous comments to get some time back, or use the typing alternative.

I realise I misinterpreted the limitations for the freebie version.
The amount of microphone commenting you can do seems to be unlimited. The number of Voicethreads you can post is not, three being the limit.
Do let me know if you have a go and post one. (That goes for anyone.)
