Hola all

Just had a quick look at the gallery to see what was on the Wild Flowers and notice there are only 47 pics.  Would be great to see more photos and descriptions as I am always coming across species that I cant seem to identify from my books.  With Spain having wild flowers in the thousands I was thinking that maybe we could all get snapping this spring and try to put as many blossoming beauties on the gallery as possible.

I will be going for a walk this weekend so I will see what I can load up, and would appreciate if other members could see what they can find.

What do you all think??

regards
alfredo

You are absolutely right!  :sign:

There are many photos shown in the "IDs" which should end up in the gallery, when identified (not only plants!).

I happened to come across several interesting plants I did not know this weekend - even though I was in a known area around here! I'm working on it, but some may show up as IDs.

I guess that the problem here is that everybody on this forum are such nice and modest persons!
With all the professional quality photos here, some of us do not believe ours are good enough  :'(!

Well, after (re)reading the old posts, I have decided to be less modest......  :technodevil:   as you may have noticed!

Clive, you're welcome to cancel my photos, if better versions, showing the same content, shows up!

Hola Clive

You may have misunderstood my post, its not the system I was commenting on, just the lack of photos on it.  I have seen your post suggesting members put id photos on the gallery, but as Petrea mentioned, there are loads of identified pics sitting in posts and it would be good for members to put them on the gallery.

My original post was supposed to encourage members and not criticise the system.

Hi Alfredo and all,,

No I didn't see any criticism Alfredo, I just thought I would point out the hints and topics about the gallery as it was posted quite a while ago... :)

Petrea, The gallery is not a place for just for super duper proper photographic elites.... Any image is welcome and even if it is a bit blurry or wonky it doesn't matter... What is important is the well thought about description, scientific name, and any other info to bulk out the image and make it a learning experience....

Hopefully if I get some time I will upload some of my images soon... Got my hands a bit full at the moment though :)
