Hi All.

I do a blog and hope that at some point some one may read it. Is there a way of putting a counter on the blog site to see if they are. I know that this can be disappointing if no one is reading it but it would be nice to know if some one is.

Thanks Mick.

Hi Mick,

Have a look here

A simple hit counter doesn't really tell you much... The best stats to add would be Google Analytics which is also explained in the above link...

Hi Mick,

I use www.statcounter.com  It's free and tells me heaps of stuff like visitors' location, time spent, what they had for breakfast, etc.

Forgot to say it's invisible if you want it to be, and no adverts.

For Google analytics you need to add a gadget

see this
http://groups.google.com/group/blogger-help-howdoi/browse_thread/thread/3e0e7fe57b326569

Go to your Dashboard -- Layout -- Add A Gadget -- HTML/JavaScript.
Paste the code in the window provided.

Once you have pasted the code in you can go to your google account and click the analytics link... It takes a few hours for data to be gathered and the graphs to show...
