I am up to three posts so I should be able to attach an image. I have attached the image (less than 200KB) to my text and pressed preview but the image is not appearing in the preview. Is this normal. Should I post anyway?

I think maximum size is 120k.

It said 200KB in the help file, but no problem, I can reduce easily. However I would like to know if in normal use the image appears when I press preview

Hi,

No the image doesn't show in a preview... It only gets uploaded to the forum when you click on save.... Just post away... 200K is fine for file size... You can always click the return to this post box in the additional options area (or you can set that in your forum profile) have a scan of your post... If you need to make spelling or corrections just click on the edit post link at the top of your post..

Sorry, I was out of date. Forgot about the increase in image size to 200k.
