Great news.

The TP resemblance is striking - even down to the tight-fitting, anti-tick trousers.

Greetings All,
Thanks for those great articles, Lisa! Excellent news on the anti-poison front. So two comunidades of the 17? Well, it's a start...

Yes, I have finally found my vocation in Life: setting up a nationwide one-stop anti-poison, anti-tick, anti-quad squad - The iberianatureforum ApAtAq Squad - as a successor to the Shroomie Squad.

All Full Shroomies are automatically members and others may apply to the board for admission.

I'd thought this was just a crazy rumour but it's true, as part of a study some wolves in the Picos are going to be radio-collared. There are worries in some quarters that it's just so they'll be easier to shoot when "necessary". Whatever, I think it's a step forward.

After a very slack period I'm gathering my summer material together. First up are a couple of beautiful beetles.

Dito - nice pics!

Note, that there is a little typo in the second one - it should be spelled Hoplia with i.

Cheers,

Thomas

Brilliant collection of butterflies - the Spanish Chestnut heath photos are specially nice - completely new species for me.

Glen, if you're ever near BCN in spring, I know a great place to see Camberwell Beauties.

I've made a new section for trip reports away from the Picos. The latest is what Teresa and I didn't but did see in Extremadura

Wow! Trip report of the year goes to Lisa. I've only read two pages so far, so much information and utterly wonderful photos especially of the otters!

Thought this was intereting: Driving into Monfragüe National Park, through ripped-out eucalyptus plantations replaced by young indigenous oaks,

Really fantastic job Lisa!

Just finsihed it, brought back pleasant memories of our day out near Barcelona. I hadn't realised it was the same trip you posted here last year, but with pictures. So, award goes to the best re-issue of the year!
