Greetings Nick,
Not sure if this is the right place to include this, but here goes:

I recommended the iberianature web site to a partially-sighted friend (takes great photos and then enlarges them on his computer screen so he can see the results!) who tried to access it and told me that it is accessible with a strong German, not English accent, on the voice synthesizer!
From what I understood (over my head), the template used is German and the default setting is DE not EN. Apparently it can be easily changed by whoever runs the web site. We didn't check the forum, but maybe it also has the same template.

Regards,
Technopat (don't be fooled by the moniker!)

Hi Technopad,

How bizarre and interesting. Yes, I, for want of a better word, manage the site...but not tech-savvy in the slightest. Could only see an EN at start of source code. Could you look at the source code and tell me where it is?

Cheers
Nick

Nick,
Will try to get some meaningful, user-friendly instructions from this guy, but it's clearly a case of the blind leading the blind on this one.
Maybe I can get him to post the instructions directly here rather than risk me messing them up!
Cheers!

My mate, Enrique, is too busy right now to get in touch with you - he still hasn't finished his keynote address for a conference in Barcelona this coming Saturday for 200 blind IT experts and he's also in the middle of preparing his international domotics congress for next month, so I didn't want to push him too far. But if the following doesn't work, don't give up - I'm sure that over the next couple of weeks I'll be able to appeal to his better self and get him to rally round!

Roughly translating from his instructions over the phone in Sp. here: By pressing Ctrl + U (on Sp. Windows - otherwise go to View and then click on code source) you should get to a window called code source.

There, you'll find the header states that the default lang. is EN. So far so good!
Problem is that further down the page, your template gives the following lang="DE"> - and every time the reader comes across that clear instruction, it logically changes to German.

So, by clicking on Ctrl + B (Sp. Windows or Ctrl + F in GB Windows) you will get the option to replace all the lang="DE"> for lang="EN">.
You could also try by just eliminating all the lang="DE"> that you come across. Either way it should solve the prob.

But as I say, don't worry if it don't - I'm sure I'll get him to give you a hand one of these days - just out of natural curiosity.
Good luck! (And let me know what happens!)

Right found it and changed it...but it seems to be in every bloody page - so although I've uploaded the front page again, your friend will have to wait a few days before I have time to do upload the lot.

Many thnks for this and will let you know when it is done
