I found this tree/bush while out walking looks very deadly with all the thorns. I have done a little research and it appears to be a Solanum sisymbriifolium (sticky nightshade) hopefully some one can confirm this either way and perhaps give more information. Is it edible?

This looks to me like the poisonous Solanum sodomeum - Apple of Sodom, which is a plant from South Africa that has naturalised in the Mediterranean area.
Don't eat it!  :o
Thinking of visiting the beautiful Sierra de Grazalema in Andalucia?

Hello Sue. Thank you for your reply. I am sure that you are correct. Having looked at the link you showed me I a uploading another picture that shows the "fruit" having turned black. Which will confirm your choice. I will not eat it.
Again thank you. :dancing:
