Yes, it's an ecologogical dichotomy.
On the one hand, the ecologists want wind farms to help save the planet from alleged anthropogenic global warming and air pollution.
On the other hand, a different flavour of ecologists wants to stop wind farms as they kill wild birds and bats.

Personally, I think that wind farms are an expensive folly, and look forward to the day when that is realised, and they have all disappeared.
