Caminito del Rey reservations open for October, November and December 2015

People do like to plan in advance so it does seem odd that the reservation system for the Caminito del Rey has only just now opened up the online booking system for October, November and December 2015. Lets hope the system doesn’t collapse under the pressure again… Good luck everyone! IT SEEMS THAT ACCESS IS … Continue reading Caminito del Rey reservations open for October, November and December 2015

Caminito del Rey reservations for 2015 almost full.

Looking at the official Caminito del Rey online reservation system we can see that October 2015 is now fully booked and there are just a few weekdays left for the months of November and December. One thing that really struck me was the speed at which the weekends for the last three months of 2015 … Continue reading Caminito del Rey reservations for 2015 almost full.

Hola Clive,

I think you´re right: there is a parallel booking system,. Quite obvious, if not your recomended hotel would not be able to book for their clients. It seems that now more hotels and agents want to get a share, quite understandable.

And our local townhall has arranged excursions to the caminito. I think the latest one in Sept. was announced before the online system was reopened. Again, you´re right: they should be more open about this, then it would probable be OK.

Thanks for telling us about the reopening: I now got a reservation. Before that, I tried to book the hotel, but apparently, that seemed to be fully booked for a long time to come. This is not so now, so either their booking system was not working - or people have booked and then cancelled after getting a reservation online now.

Saludos

Although the official date has not been announced yet for the reopeing of the Caminito del Rey under control of a private company I was assured today on the telephone by the company who made the winning bid that visits will start again sometime towards the middle (20th) of April 2016. The second phase of Caminito del Rey will cost 1.2 million Euros.

Today, the Malaga Council presented its next phase of improvements for the Caminito del Rey that will cost around 1.2 million euros and will include a tunnel, a waterfall and two visitor centers. Presumably some of this money will come from the investment from the company that won the contract to run the walkway for … Continue reading The second phase of Caminito del Rey will cost 1.2 million Euros.
