Can anyone tell me how I get the euro sign up and running? On my keyboard it's on the same key as the 4, just to the right of it with the $ sign above. I expect it involves one of the arrow keys but which one  ???

Greetings Lisa,
On my hp keyboard (Sp.)  it’s the E key with the Alt Gr (the Alt Gr is the one you use for the @).
Hope that helps. If so, it means we’re quits, doesn’t it!  8)
If no-one else has come to the rescue of a damsel in distress by this evening, I’ll tell you how it’s done on an older keyboard/and/or a Mac – ‘cos offhand I can’t remember!

Greetings Lisa,
No-one come to your rescue yet, I see  :technodevil:
My much older (but still young enough to have a euro sign) IBM keyboard at home has the same format as the hp, i.e. on the E key. The COMPAQ laptop likewise. And my two Macs are pre-euro days, so I just used to write EUR in front of the figures.

Doesn't know whether it's coming or going - it's a trait snakes share with snails:

In case anyone's wondering. I'd still like to know if I can use this sign on my keyboard or if it was just put there to encourage support for the day the euro becomes legal tender.   >:D
PC keyboard is Packard Bell if that's any help.

Hola,

Sorry Lisa I thought you had got it sorted from TP's earlier posting...

Don't you have an Alt Gr on your bottom row of keys?...(next to space bar)

Hold that key down and then press number 4 to get the €...It should be the same for the |@#~€¬€[]{} and some other stuff...

Thankyou Clive  :-*
and thanks TP. Dumbo here hadn't looked at the right-hand key (Alt Gr) because the one used for @ is on the left.  ::)
