A moth for ID please, this was the only view I could get as I was unwilling to make it move.

Believe it or not, this is the butterfly known as the Geraniun Bronze Cacyreus marshalli. I've not seen this resting position in a photo before.  Very interesting.

It certainly is a very strange pose thats for sure. I agree with Michael that it is a Geranium Moth... Threw me a bit as you can't really see the two tail bits sticking out.... But they are there I think... :)

Thanks both for your help, the reason for the pose was it was resting alongside my buzon, and as I said I didnĀ“t want to disturb.
