ID broom-like large bush/tree. Solved: Adenocarpus decorticans.

This bush wqas found in the Sierra Aolmijara, just north ofv the border Málaga/Granada. Thr needle like leaves were soft. Some bushes were more like small trees (photo 2, with undergrowth of common broom). Adenocarpus decorticans?

Hi, Yes I think you are right. Spanish name Rascavieja (Old scratchy) :)

The Spanish name actually made me wonder, because it does nor scratch: the needles are soft, both to the look and touch!   :noidea:

I think it means that its skin is falling off because its itchy! :)
