Other photos taken this week at the altitude 1800m in the Sierra Tejeda. Low cushion, slightly prickly. Some type of Genista, I think, but which?

It was great to see you both on Sunday.

What about Echinospartum boissieri for this one? If it is it is endemic to the mountains of southern Spain and is on the Red list of endangered plants.
