Carlos Sanz has sent me a link to a programme that was transmitted last Monday, 8th of October "La Aventura del Saber" which shows his work with wolves. I thought you'd like to see it if you didn't catch it on the tele (and if this link works  ;D) as I'm sure he wouldn't mind.

For Clive and anyone else without broadband, the report includes footage of Carlos with "his" (?) wolves near Madrid in which he explains how they are used for documentary film work. Treated essentially as another member of the pack, he is able to film their behaviour at very close quarters. The need for livestock protection is emphasised...and the cubs are cute!

I think he inherited the pack from Feliz Rodriguez de la Fuente, who he studied under. I believe the original cubs came form Sierra de la Culebra though the great man remarkably never visited it.

Different times. No defender of wolves today would dream of nabbing wolf cubs from the wild
