I at last managed to track down the new(ish) book 'Nomads of the Strait' last week when in Spain.  For the first time the 'field station' for the Colectivo Ornitologico Ciguena Negra just north of Tarifa was actually open so I nipped in and was delighted to find they had a copy (available in both English & Spanish).  I was less delighted to realise that I didn't have 60 euros on me, but a rapid about-turn back into Tarifa quickly resolved that problem!   Unfortunately, no sooner had I bought it than my wife embargoed it as a suitable Xmas present!  However, a quick glance showed it to be a very handsome book and the text too seemed interesting.  When I get my hands on it again I'll tell you more!

Just to let you know that this book is now available via the English web of Subbuteo books.  Still not allowed to look at it yet - roll on 25th Dec!
